How to improve your training courses with Immersio

You already have courses that work. The question is not to rebuild everything, but to know what learners have really acquired by the end, and what they haven't. This guide shows how to add role-play simulation to your existing courses and use the results to improve them from one session to the next.

In short

Immersio improves an existing course by adding practice: interactive role-play simulations before, during or after the session. Results per scenario show which situation is causing the group trouble, the 90-day follow-up evaluation shows what has been retained, and each scenario can be corrected in a few minutes in the editor.

Key points

  • Add practice where your course remains theoretical, without redesigning the whole programme.
  • Results per scenario show exactly which situation your group struggles with.
  • The 90-day follow-up evaluation shows what is still retained a few months after the course.
  • You can edit a scenario in minutes: continuous improvement becomes realistic.

How do you spot what is too theoretical in a course?

Go through the outline of one of your courses and, for each sequence, ask yourself: when does the learner put this content into practice? Often, practice is limited to an exercise at the end of the day, or to role-plays that depend heavily on how comfortable each person is in front of the group.

These are the sequences that benefit most from being extended with a scenario. Learners make decisions alone, away from the group's gaze, and receive feedback on each of their choices.

How do you add role-play simulation without starting over?

You don't need to turn your course into a game. Three uses fit easily into an existing programme:

  • Before the session: a placement scenario shows you what the group can already do. You adapt your facilitation accordingly.
  • During the session: you project a scenario and have the group debate each decision. The discussion is about visible consequences, not opinions.
  • After the session: a replayable practice scenario reinforces learning in the weeks that follow.

Your existing materials (fact sheets, procedures, case studies) serve as raw material: carry their key points into the description of the situation you give the studio.

How do you measure the effectiveness of a course?

The dashboard shows, per scenario and per class, the score distribution, pass rate and engagement. If most of a group fails the same scene, the problem probably isn't the learners: the concept was poorly conveyed, or the scenario is poorly calibrated.

Each learner's skills profile compares their measured level with the target. It helps you personalise follow-up: who needs extra help, and on which specific skill.

Finally, the 90-day follow-up evaluation collects participants' feedback several months after the course. It is a chance to check what survived the return to work.

How do you improve a course from one session to the next?

Because scenarios are edited in the editor, a finding can become a fix the same day: rewording an ambiguous line, rebalancing the score of a choice or its effect on the gauges. You can also ask Immersio's engine to improve the scenario from a specific instruction.

An improvement by the engine uses 2 credits, shown before you confirm. Always review the modified version before delivering it again.

What Immersio does not do

  • Fix a vague learning objective: if you don't know what the learner should be able to do, no scenario will tell you.
  • Replace your facilitation: the best results come from trainers who use scenarios as a basis for discussion.
  • Measure transfer to real situations: the data covers simulated decisions and the feedback reported at 90 days.
  • Immersio is designed for the French market: scenarios are currently generated in French, and the prices and legal references in this guide apply to France. The platform interface itself is available in English.

Frequently asked questions

My courses are classroom-based: is Immersio suitable?

Yes. Scenarios can be projected and played together in the room, or used before and after the session. Tracking works in both cases.

Can I turn existing material into a scenario?

You can use it as raw material by carrying its key points into the description of the situation. However, Immersio does not automatically convert a slide deck or document into a scenario, and you cannot attach your own files to it.

Can learners replay a scenario?

Yes. Replaying a scenario with different choices is part of learning: you discover the consequences of the options you didn't take.

What score counts as passing a scenario?

By default, a scenario is passed from 60% of the score achievable on the path taken.
