In short
To train your employees with Immersio, identify the situations where a mistake is costly, then describe them to Immersio's scenario generation engine: it produces branching role-play simulations that reflect your procedures and vocabulary. Have them validated by someone who knows the job, assign them to your teams, and follow each person's decisions in the dashboard and skills profile.
Key points
- Start with the situations where a mistake is costly: a lost customer, an escalating conflict, a safety rule bypassed.
- You create scenarios that reflect your procedures, vocabulary and constraints, not generic cases.
- Every decision is recorded: you know who masters what, and who needs support.
- Simulation prepares people for the field; it does not replace support from their manager.
Why train employees through role-play simulation?
An employee can know a procedure perfectly and still not apply it on the day an important customer insists on an exception. The gap between knowing and doing is exactly what training should close, and it is what a slide deck or a quiz measures poorly.
In an Immersio simulation, the learner plays a role. In each scene, they choose what to say or do and immediately see the consequences on gauges (customer satisfaction, team climate, deadlines…). They can make mistakes without real consequences, understand why, and try again.
Which situations should you choose to train your teams?
Bring together two or three people who know the field (a manager, an experienced employee, someone from HR) and ask them two questions:
- Which situations do newcomers handle badly in their first months?
- Which mistakes had the heaviest consequences last year?
The answers usually give very concrete topics: announcing a delivery delay, addressing a colleague's behaviour, handling a suspicious access request, welcoming a new hire. They make excellent scenarios.
How do you create scenarios that reflect your company?
In the Immersio studio, describe the situation in your own words: the role, the counterpart, the stakes, the internal rule to follow. Immersio's scenario generation engine turns it into a playable simulation, which you then review in the editor. This is where you add what makes you specific: the names of your tools, your approval thresholds, the way your customers speak.
Be precise about the rules to follow (an approval threshold, the steps of a procedure, what is forbidden): the engine uses them to build the choices and the short learning resources the learner can read before deciding. Then review every right answer with someone who knows the job.
How do you roll out the training to employees?
Create a class or team per population (new hires, frontline managers, customer service), assign a learning path and set an access period. Employees receive an email invitation and sign in with a code, with no password to remember. Scenarios are played on computer or mobile; how long they take depends on the number of scenes you chose.
After each run, the learner receives a personalised debrief that goes back over their choices: what worked, what it cost, and what they could have done differently.
How do you measure employee progress?
The dashboard consolidates completion, scores, pass rates and training hours, by class and by scenario. It flags the learners who need support. Each employee has a skills profile comparing their measured level with the target.
This data comes from the decisions made in the scenarios: nothing is self-reported. It lets you target individual support rather than sending everyone through the same course again.
Results measure decisions made in a simulated situation. They are a good indicator of what a person can do, not proof of how they will actually behave with a customer. Cross-check them with observation in the field.
How much does it cost to train employees with Immersio?
The Starter plan costs €14.90 per seat per month, up to 100 active accounts, with 10 generation credits included per seat per month (minimum 50). Beyond 100 employees, the Small Business and Enterprise plans are quoted on request. Details are on the pricing page.
What Immersio does not do
- Replace on-the-job onboarding, mentoring or the manager's role.
- Teach technical skills that require physical practice (operating equipment, safety certifications).
- Produce an accurate scenario without review: always validate the content with someone who knows the job before rolling it out.
- Immersio is designed for the French market: scenarios are currently generated in French, and the prices and legal references in this guide apply to France. The platform interface itself is available in English.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to set up a first course?
It mostly depends on the review. Generating a scenario takes a few minutes; then allow time for someone who knows the job to check the dialogue and the right answers. Employees are invited from the workspace, by email.
Do employees need to install an app?
No. Scenarios are played in the browser, on computer as well as on mobile.
Can we use Immersio in our existing LMS?
Yes, through SCORM / xAPI export or embedding. Export is included in the Small Business and Enterprise plans and available as an option on Starter.
Who can see employees' results?
The managers of your workspace, and each employee for their own profile. The data stays in your organisation's workspace.
